Welcome to the 31st season of San Francisco Bay Area guitar concerts!
Welcome to our 31st season of bringing the world’s finest guitarists to the San Francisco Bay area! During the 2011-2012 season we will present a spectacular and diverse array of performers: The great maestros Kazuhito Yamashita, Eduardo Fernandez, and Carlos Barbosa-Lima, awesome virtuosos Xuefei Yang, Zoran Dukic and Dale Kavanagh, young superstars Thibault Cauvin, Grigory Goryachev, Jerome Mouffe and Johannes Moller, and the vanguard of composition and arrangement for guitar represented by Atanas Ourkouzounov and Mie Ogura. Special highlights will be the San Francisco debut of the phenomenal Brazilian guitarist Yamandu Costa and an evening with the amazing mandolinist Chris Thile.
The season pivots around the February weekend when Tommy Emmanuel comes to town for two nights at the Palace of Fine Arts. Joining Tommy this year will the dynamic Frank Vignola and rhythm master Vinnie Raniolo. This will be Tommy’s 6th consecutive season on the series. Come and find out why!
